Companies wanting to join Career Exploration Day sought
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce continues its search for companies and students interested to participate in its Student Career Exploration Day on Dec. 5, from 8am to 11am. Students will have on-site meetings with companies, so locations will vary per company.
The Chamber has slots for 30 more students; it currently has 70 registered students.
This event gives an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors the choice of a job that they are hoping to learn more about and will be paired with a participating Chamber business. This is a unique opportunity that will give students a hands-on experience in the workplace with a chance to “shadow” a private-sector business leader for a half day.
Students and participating companies will be recognized at the Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Hall during the Chamber’s general membership luncheon meeting from 11:30am to 12:45pm. The meeting will be followed by a student workshop hosted by the Chamber’s Education and Workforce Development Committee focusing on financial literacy, interviewing skills, and life balancing tips from experienced young professionals.
