Presentation lineup for Saipan conservation conference

Learn more from the 29 researchers and agency professionals who will be sharing conservation insights and science results at the 3rd Annual Marianas Terrestrial Conservation Conference & Workshop next week, Nov. 18-20, at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.
CNMI Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Dr. Joshua Guilbert will be speaking about the path to de-listing of the Mariana fruit bat or fanihi and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Robbie Greene will talk about the natural resource conditions and needs of the American Memorial Park.
Multiple presenters will also be discussing different aspects of the impact of the invasive brown tree snake in Guam, and the potential for snake control and ecological restoration.
All presentations will be at the Fiesta Resort’s Hibiscus Hall from 8am to 5pm on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The public is also invited to participate in field trips such as canoe rides and a guided forest hike. All events are free and open to the public.
