More than 250 pieces of ceramic artwork will be available for sale at Ceramic Celebration XII, a fundraising event for the University of Guam’s Isla Center for the Arts that launches today, Nov. 14, and runs until Nov. 22.
The event will display handcrafted ceramics by Professor Lewis S. Rifkowitz, alumni, and students of the UOG fine arts program. All artwork will be available for sale with proceeds to benefit the Isla Center for the Arts.
The Isla Center for the Arts, through its various art exhibits throughout the year, promotes an increased appreciation of the cultures of the Western Pacific while also offering the people of the area the opportunity to view art from other areas of the world.
An opening reception for the fundraising event will be held from 6pm to 8pm today, Nov. 14, 2019, in the Isla Center for the Arts gallery, located in House No. 15 of Dean Circle on the UOG campus.
