6JMS Mafia was crowned champion in the Masters Division of the Saipan Electronics Darts Association Bud Light Cup after defeating Jonny’s Ridin’ Darty in their finals showdown, 9-6, last Thursday.
Mafia took the win in the Partners Crazy Cricket, courtesy of Erwin Clavecillas, who also prevailed in the 501 Double along with Omar Quindoza. Gil Gatmaitan also contributed to Mafia’s cause with his victory win in the Partner Regular Cricket.
In the Partner 701 Double In/Double Out, Mafia had a sweep with Quindoza, Ric Elepante, Gamaitan, and Clavecillas winning, while Gatmaitan, Clavecillas, and Elepante also ruled the Singles Regular Cricket.
In other results, the Bud Light Cup Thursday Division just entered its quarterfinal round. The Round of 8 pairings are as follows: 6JMS Darty Minded facing 6JMS Bandits; 6JMS 80 Proofers battling Jonny’s Serial Killaz; Jonny’s Parakeyu dueling 6JMS Rectify; and Oleai Five challenging Uncle Mel’s Dartholiks.
6JMS Darty Minded won over 6JMS Thunder in the first round, 8-5; Bandits edged Kyodai, 8-7; Proofers nipped No Fear, 8-6; Killaz downed Darrty, 8-4; Parakeyu beat Na’Gupu, 8-3; Rektify prevailed over Twisted Tribe, 8-6; Five 9 topped Real Deal, 8-7; and Dartaholiks defeated Just 4 Fun, 8-3.
The quarterfinals matches will be played on Nov. 14.
