6JMS Thunder and Uncle Mel’s Champino made it to the finals of the Tuesday Division of the Saipan Electronics Dart Association Bud Light Cup.
6JMS TDI gained the first finals seat after topping 6JMS 90 Proofers in their semis game last week, 8-3, The Thunders took two wins apiece in the Partners 501 double in/double out, Singles Crazy or Random Cricket, Partners 701, and Singles Half It. Earlier in the first round of the playoffs, 6JMS TDI dominated 6JMS Shaka, 8-3, to set up a Final Four duel against 6JMS 90 Proofers.
Uncle Mel’s Champino, on the other hand, got a bye in the opening round and automatically moved into the semis. It then took the second finals seat after edging 6JMS Just the Tip, 8-6. The Champinos took one win each in the Partners 501, Partners 701, and Partners Regular Cricket, three in the Singles Crazy or Random Cricket, and two in the Singles Half It.
Uncle Mel’s Champino and 6JMS Thunder were scheduled to duel in the finals last night, but results of their title showdown were unavailable at press time.
In other results, the Bud Light Cup A Division is down to four teams with 6JMS Dragons, 6JMS 101 Proofers, 6JMS Hustlers, and Uncle Mel’s Scorpions filling the semifinals seats.
The 6JMS Dragons defeated Jonny Ridin’ Darrty, 8-9, to gain entry to the semis, while the 6JMS 101 Proofers triumphed over 6JMS Mafia 1 9-5. 6JMS Dragons and 6JMS 101 Proofers will square off in the semis on Nov. 11, while the date of the other Final Four game between 6JMS Hustlers, and Uncle Mel’s Scorpions has yet to be determined.
