Positive vision
The southernmost island of Rota is slated to see major economic expansion shortly when its casino industry is established early next year, according to Sen. President Victor Hocog.
Hocog noted that this impending investment is a sign of optimism that the island would see resurgence in private industry investment. “It ought to bring along accompanying investments that would compleiment those already established here.”
It’s an investment plan that should encourage new money for island needs and the NMI, Hocog said.
“We’re optimistic that revenue generation from this industry should ably help us cover most basic needs, including the establishment of a dialysis program on Rota,” Sen. Terry Santos said. “We should resolve the issue, an urgent concern that would be of great help to hemodialysis patients.”
Hocog noted the pluses of a casino on Rota being situated “three hours away from the more populated neighbor like Guahan.”
“When the industry settles down we should focus on disposition of funds to aid the future wellbeing of our people or economic prosperity,” the senators noted. “Sufficiency of funds ought to help resolve urgent needs at home”.
“The impending investment ought to grant the island economic opportunities and stability that would encourage our very own to return home and work”, the senators pointed out.
Sen. Santos keeps abreast of medical referral patients. She said that it’s hard for seriously ill dialysis patients that have to endure going to off-island medical centers for specialty help. The eventual establishment of a dialysis center on Rota should help patients seek treatment at home.
Hocog and Santos have persistently followed pertinent issues of interest for their people in our legislative institution. They’ve also expressed a healthy assessment of the general needs of the NMI.
They know it’s a tough job that requires resolute commitment to tough it out from A-Z and they have no plans surrendering fiduciary duty either.
Events
Comforting the happy faces of our people I see daily most everywhere we meet. A huge loud smile says it all. Buenas!
Equally concerning behind the felicitation are layers of issues conveniently hidden out of polite respect. It’s information I’d probe given that our simple folks have not the courage to say their piece openly. This is where my role comes into full view.
Perhaps it’s a matter of trust that they convey their concerns to the undersigned without holding back. Moreover, anyone who takes the time to explain the issue eventually tells the inside story of the story.
Interesting that uppermost in most expressions I’ve heard relates to poverty income level wages and salaries for nearly 15,000 employees NMI-wide.
Definitely, the issue requires a healthy economy. The question still remains with you: what have you done to encourage resurgence of private industry investment here to fulfill your promise of more income?
The concept doesn’t pan out like instant soba by its sheer usage in a sentence. It requires serious planning among key players. Herein lies the task and it’s up to Da Boysis to make or break it. EVERbody home?
Gathering
It’s healthy, though, sharing our views that enrich our wisdom as a community. It’s the very tool of refinement in our working relationship to improve the quality of life at home. It’s the single most vital goal or objective!
Culturally, a disagreement instantly turns into hostility or literal enemies. We’ve outgrown this for we welcome differing views.
It’s the only way to learn, understand and appreciate your fellow man’s perspective. After all, no one has been conferred wisdom all unto himself! Thus the necessity to share views, you know, the proverbial expression: “Two heads are better than one.”
Health Cost
Meanwhile, there are various health proposals being floated in the U.S. Congress. One by Sen. Elizabeth Warren offers Medicare-For-All that hopes to decrease cost among millions of families.
But preliminary cost analysis says otherwise, which could easily mean every person must cough up some $40,000 a year. No wonder she’s mum, just like the bout with her bio.
I was hoping for some meaningful rhetorical refutations from presidential candidate Joe Biden but I heard he doesn’t know how to debate. And he’s running for the top post? Is it his age (76 years old)? Should Dems settle for Fauxahontas?
“Not yet….”
Around town sometime it’s eerie the echo of dreadful silence all over when we should be singing One Paddle. Quite concerning the issues people raise quietly too.
The smile behind their faces display a heavy quiet message of hardship only a mindful person could sense. And how many elected officials have we on Da Hills of Saipan snoozing and drooling behind the wheels? EVERbody home?
