MP United Football Club battled back from its season-opening loss in the masters division of the 2019 Dove Women’s Fall League after downing Kanoa Football Club, 4-1, last Sunday at the TSL Sports Complex.

Laarni Zapanta helped MP United, which bowed to TanHoldings in Week 1 of the division, recover quickly after scoring two goals against Kanoa. Karen Aglipay and Julie Hall made the two other goals for MP United, while Loyda Ito nailed the lone shot for Kanoa.

In the other masters match last Sunday, Matansa defeated Paire, 5-2.

Ivan Gozum paced Matansa with her hat trick, while Ratree Ditwiset and Wansa Gregory contributed one goal apiece. Natalie Hill-Beyer and Patricia Coleman scored the two goals for Paire.

DIVISION A
TanHoldings 13, Paire 1

Division A action in the league kicked off last Friday with TanHoldings having a rousing start after dominating Paire.

Katrina Costales, Kaithlyn Chaves, and Jenny Capayas delivered three goals each for TanHoldings, while Cristina Atalig chipped in two, and Mary Joy Aniana and Allyssya Angeles had one apiece. Katherine Magat recorded the lone goal for Paire.

Kanoa 7, Matansa 4
Kanoa also won its season debut after outclassing Matansa.

Khristelle Itaas and Paulyn Joyce teamed up in handing Kanoa the victory, as each registered three goals. Lalaine Pagarao posted the other goal for the winning squad.

Matansa, on the other hand, drew a brace from Britanny Wally and one apiece from Jannah Casarino and Jerlyn Castillo.

DIVISION B
Southern United 8, Kanoa 0

Southern United made it to the win column in its first try after routing Kanoa.

Marinel Falalimpa, Erin Frink, and Tricia Roque fired two goals apiece, while Haidee Manibusan and Nathanette Blas added one each in Southern United’s strong start in the division.

TanHoldings 7, Shirley’s 1
TanHoldings also eased its way to victory in the other Division B match last weekend.

Julie Ann Capayas recorded a hat trick to power TanHoldings to its season-debut win. Rizza Relucio made two, while siblings Tamia and Tyana Hix had one apiece. Stephanie Lumbad logged the only goal for Shirley’s FC.
