Bank of Guam earns 2019 Lender of the Year

HAGATNA, Guam—Bank of Guam is happy to announce that it has been awarded both the Lender of the Year and Banker of the Year from the Guam Small Business Administration for 2019.

As lender of the year, Bank of Guam approved eight SBA loans totaling over $900,000 to various small businesses.

Banker of the Year, Vanessa B. Quinata, is a graduate of Notre Dame High. She has been with Bank of Guam since1995, beginning as a telephone operator, and has worked in telebanking, customer service and administration. She also worked with both the Retail Banking Group (2010) and now Corporate Banking Group (2016). She has a Bachelors in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance and Economics from the University of Guam, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Joaquin P.L.G. Cook stated, “We are honored to be recognized for leading our community in lending to small businesses once again. These awards are the result of hard work and persistence of our team, and we are very proud to have been selected for the 7th time for Lender of the Year and 6th time for Banker of the Year.
