Same leaders in NMIFA Youth League

TanHoldings Football Club and Kanoa Football Club are still the pacesetters in their respective competitions in the 2019 NMIFA Fall Youth League after posting contrasting wins last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
In the co-ed U12 age group, TanHoldings remained undefeated in four games and ahead in the four-team division after nipping MP United, 3-2.
Andrei Kaithlyn Chavez lifted TanHoldings to the close win after making a hat trick, as she scored in the 34th, 45th, and 51st minute of the game. Takeru Jim and Jeff Kim logged the two goals for MP United with the latter lighting up the board in the 43rd minute and the former doing the same in the 63rd.
In other results in the division, Kanoa eased past Shirley’s Football Club, 11-2.
Kanoa now has a 3-0-1 win-draw-loss record to lurk behind TanHoldings, while Shirley’s is still winless in four matches.
Paul Lizama and Rigel Divey joined forces in demolishing Shirley’s, as they registered five goals apiece. Raymond Deijillas posted the other goal for Kanoa, while Jayvin Bisek and Mohamad Khan scored for Shirley’s.
BOYS U15 DIVISION
Kanoa 13, Shirley’s 2
Kanoa and Shirley’s also crossed paths in the boys U15 division game last weekend and the match had the same results.
Ruben Guerrero and Jim Kurt Maniago recorded three goals apiece in Kanoa’s rout of Shirley’s, while Sean Gil, Brian Lubao, and Markus Toves contributed two each. Christian Kimura rounded out Kanoa’s scorers, while Shirley’s two goals came from Gabriel Arkoh Jr.
With the easy win, Kanoa improved its record to 3-1-0 to lead the five-team division.
Meanwhile, the other match in the boys U15 age group had TanHoldings getting a free 3-0 win (forfeit) over Matansa.
TanHoldings notched victory No. 2, while Matansa absorbed its third loss in as many matches.
