Atkins Kroll announces winners of BMW golf tourney

Atkins Kroll Guam and BMW Asia hosted the Inaugural BMW Premiere Golf Tournament at LeoPalace Resort Country Club last Sunday with Nalapon Vongjalorn leading the winners list.

Vongjalorn, who shot a net 70, was awarded the grand prize and will represent Guam to the BMW Golf Cup International National Final 2019 on Nov. 4 at the Sta. Elena Golf & Country Club in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines.

Other winners were Rose Tarpley and Louie Sunga (low gross women’s and men’s), Emeri Sunga (first in low net); Jam An (second low net); Warren Pelletier (second low net); Ray Blas Jr. (third low net); Michael Elliot (fourth low net); and Dave Blas (fifth low net)

“This golf tournament was organized as a customer appreciation experience for our BMW customers and to bring the local golf competition to the next level at Guam’s most distinguished champion golf course,” said Atkins Kroll president Alex Hammett.

“This is an exciting new era for AK and BMW, and we are proud to be part of the BMW family. We look forward to hosting future events that provide our customers an opportunity to experience the BMW brand,” he added.

The tournament utilized two of LeoPalace Resort Country Club’s courses designed by professional golfers Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. During the BMW Premiere Golf Tournament, participating customers had the opportunity to win a BMW vehicle in four hole-in-one competitions. On the Hibiscus course’s hole No. 4, customers competed for a 2019 BMW X1 sDrive28i, while a 2019 BMW X3 was at stake on hole No. 7. At the the Orchid course, AK BMW enticed golfers with a 2019 BMW X5 xDrive40i at hole No. 6 and a 2019 BMW 540i at No. 8.

“Hosting the first BMW Golf Cup event allowed us to engage with our customers during a day of fun and serious golf. We wanted to give our customers a golf experience they would never forget while getting to know them better,” BMW brand manager Yun Yi said, “We are excited to continue strengthening relationships with our customers and hosting future events that showcase BMW’s commitment to performance, design and innovation.” (PR)
