TanHoldings FC ahead; Southern draws Kanoa

TanHoldings Football Club is on top of two divisions, while Kanoa Football Club and Southern United Football Club engaged in a draw in Week 4 action in the 2019 NMIFA Fall Youth League last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
TanHoldings kept the upper hand in the girls U16 age group following a 3-0 victory over Matansa Football Club. Mary Joy Aniana, Rizza Relucio, and Allyssya Mae Angeles scored for TanHoldings, which now holds a 4-0-0 win-draw-loss record to lead Kanoa (3-1-0), Southern United (2-1-1), Shirley’s FC (1-0-3), MP United (1-0-3), and Matansa (0-0-4).
Kanoa dropped to second place after being forced to a draw by Southern United last weekend, 2-2. Erin Frink made the pair of goals for Southern United, delivering her first in the 45th minute and the equalizer in the 56th. Kanoa’s two goals came from Lynzey Green and Sharmaine Francisco, who hit the board in the 52nd and 31st minute, respectively.
Meanwhile, Shirley’s notched its first win of the season after downing MP United, 6-4.
Katrina Costales powered Shirley’s to victory after scoring five goals, while Wallis Bai made the other goal for the winning squad. Maury Zon Tybaco registered two goals for MP United, while Fiona Bucalig and Audrey Castro added one each.
In the boys U18 division, TanHoldings took the solo lead after a 5-0 triumph over Matansa last Friday.
Mark Esalan had a hat trick in the easy win, while Joshua Waldo and Aloyzeus Angeles contributed one goal apiece for TanHoldings, which now owns a 3-1-0 mark to place ahead of Kanoa (2-1-1), MP United (2-0-2), and Matansa (0-0-4).
Kanoa bagged its second win of the season after downing MP United, 3-1, in the other game in the division.
Andruw Omelau posted two goals for Kanoa, while Jacob Montes scored the other one. Oliver Lee registered the lone goal for MP United, which absorbed its second straight loss after a 2-0 start.
