As part of the Annual Scripps Spelling Bee, Green Meadow School held its first elimination round, which is the classroom spelling bee, last Sept. 23, 2019. Twenty- five students from first grade to eighth grade emerged as winners.

Each year the school has to enroll in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in order to receive all the materials needed to administer a school spelling bee program, from study lists to competition guides. This year, Scripps had switched from grade level lists to three levels of difficulty lists. In addition, the school will receive access to pronouncer guides, customizable certificates and the Bee’s new study resource, “Words of the Champions.” (PR)
