Bridge Capital, LCC and MS Villagomez notched their second win in the 2019 Atkins Kroll Marianas International Basketball League last Tuesday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

Bridge Capital walloped TanHoldings in the nightcap, 126-74, while MS Villagomez outclassed Mystique BBQ in the first game, 77-67. With their victory, Bridge Capital and MS Villagomez are tied with Atkins Kroll, Aqua Resort Club, and The Game for the fifth to ninth place in the team standings, as the five squads hold similar 2-3 records.

MS Villagomez earned the 10-point win, as it led right from the get-go and ran a balance offense.

Chioni Dela Cruz and Anthony Lajara scored 7 points each in the fourth quarter for MS Villagomez’s double-digit winning margin. Dela Cruz finished with 10 points, the same output MS Villagomez got from Eli Augenbaugh, Steve King, and Don Teregeyo, while Lajara had 9. Shane Deleon top-scored for MS Villagomez with his 13 markers.

In the second game, Bridge Capital was also in control of its duel against TanHoldings to take the easy win.

Actually, Bridge Capital had the victory in the bag after the first quarter, as it built a commanding 35-9 lead.

Austin Camacho starred in Bridge Capital’s jackrabbit start after exploding for 14 points in the opening period. Matt and Manny Duenas and Ray Cabaltica backed him up, as the trio combined for 15 more markers.

Camacho and Matt Duenas ended up finishing with 26 and 22 points, respectively, with the former having a double-double, as he also recorded 11 rebounds. Four other Bridge Capital players tallied twin digits with Freddie Pelisamen logging 19 points, Cabaltica and Eric Deleon Guerrero contributing 14 apiece, and Ernest Duenas posting 13.

Kerwin Dayao had 28 points on a losing effort for TanHoldings, which has yet to win in six games.
