Precinct 5 Rep. Antonio R. Agulto (Ind-Saipan) wrote yesterday to Rep. Ramon Tebuteb (Ind-Saipan), indicating his support for House Local Bill 18-51, which the latter introduced.
HLB 18-51 seeks the appropriation of $2.72 million, including $600,000 in bond funds, for several Capital Improvement Projects on Saipan.

Agulto cited in particular the funds that will be set aside to repair Kagman roads.

“The good people of Precinct 5 have vocally aired their concerns regarding the poor conditions of several secondary roads in Kagman Village and continue to be extremely patient as they continue to deal with safety and hazardous issues that affects the entire community,” Agulto said.

HLB 18-51 seeks to allocate $600,000 for the Kagman road paving project.

Back on Jan. 9, 2014, Agulto wrote Gov. Eloy S. Inos to ask for his assistance in securing CIP funds in the amount of $530,000 to pave Pine Drive, Mangga Street, and Chopack Drive in Kagman. The amount was based on the engineer’s cost estimate that was provided by the Department of Public Works for Inos reference.

In his letter to Tebuteb, Agulto stated, “I am respectfully requesting for your utmost support in securing these funds to pave Pine Drive, Mangga Street, and Chopak Drive which will help ensure that the safety and welfare of our people is not compromised.”
