The Lady Diann Torres Foundation will be hosting a Resiliency Fest on Oct. 26 at the Marianas Business Plaza to celebrate the CNMI’s recovery in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yutu, which hit the CNMI in October 2018, and will be distributing relief goods at the event.

LDTF vice president Geralyn Dela Cruz told Saipan Tribune that first lady Diann Torres had learned that there were relief goods available for distribution, as they came in late and are from off-island. The CNMI Office of Grants Management had also ordered relief goods, but the goods also arrived late.

All relief goods will then be distributed to the public at the Resiliency Fest, while supplies last.

The Lady Diann Torres Foundation will also be unveiling the final work of Project Aligi at the Resiliency Fest.

This project was created by the foundation to decorate power poles throughout the CNMI in a move intended to inspire hope in the CNMI and to promote literacy and CNMI artists.

This project is ongoing on all three islands: Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. This project intends to keep the topic of “Marianas Strong” ongoing among the people of the CNMI.

The fest will also have a short concert, featuring local talent, and will have food vendors.
