CNMI Drug Enforcement Task Force officers arrested anew last Wednesday a woman who allegedly sold methamphetamine or “ice” at her house near the Chalan Kanoa cemetery.

DETF agents arrested again Xyleene Dela Rosa Palacios, 33, for allegedly not cooperating with law enforcement in ongoing investigations, in violation of their agreement.

At her initial appearance in court yesterday, Superior Court Associate Judge Wesley Bogdan imposed a $100,000 cash bail on Palacios.

Preliminary hearing will be on Sept. 26.

Assistant public defender Jean Pierre Nogues was appointed as her counsel. Assistant attorney general Chester Hinds appeared for the government.

DETF officer Maridel T. Camacho stated in court documents that they first arrested Palacios last March 15 for trafficking methamphetamine. He said that a cooperating source twice bought “ice” from Palacios at her home in December 2018.

Upon being arrested, Palacios allegedly agreed to become a confidential informant in exchange for her release without cash bail. DETF agreed and asked the court to release Palacios and seal the case.

Early this week, DETF asked the court to revoke her release, re-arrest her, and unseal the case.
