Tickets now on sale for Club 200

The American Red Cross-Northern Mariana Islands Chapter will be hosting the Club 200 fundraiser on the evening of Oct. 12, at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.

The theme this year is Latin Nights with hot ‘n’ spicy salsa music and dance right on the beach.  Door prizes will be up grabs. The grand prize is a 2019 Toyota RAV4.  For the first time, pinatas will give party-goers a chance to capture other prizes.   The dance contest is expected to especially pika.  The costume contest is yet another prize-worthy addition to the program. 

Tickets are on sale now for $100 each, $150 for VIP reserved seats, and extra-caliente swag. Tickets are available at Joeten stores, Red Cross board members, or at the chapter office near the airport.  For additional information, call 234-3459. (PR)

Kagman schools’ PTSA meeting set

The Kagman Unified Schools will be having a Parents Teachers Students Association meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at 5:30pm in the Chacha Ocean View Middle School cafeteria. All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend this meeting. Child care will be provided. Guam CHamoru commission meetings set

The Kumisión i Fino’ CHamoru yan i Fina’nå’guen i Historia yan i Lina’la’ i Taotao Tåno’ (Commission on CHamoru Language and the Teaching of the History and Culture of the Indigenous People of Guam) will hold its September and October monthly meetings on Sept. 19, 2019, at the Department of Parks and Recreation conference room in Hagåtña, and on Sept. 26, 2019, at the Multi-Purpose Room at the Guam Museum in Hagåtña. The October meetings will be on Oct. 10 and 24, 2019, at the Department of Parks and Recreation conference room in Hagåtña. A work session is also scheduled for Oct. 17, 2019, at the DPR conference room. All work session and meetings are on Thursdays from 12:30pm to 3pm.

MHS Class of ’81 reunion meeting set

Attention to all members of the Marianas High School Class of 1981. There will be an important class reunion meeting on Sept. 26, 2019, starting at 6pm at the TechNic Gaming Center above Sherwin Williams and across Bank of Hawaii on Middle Road. (PR)
