In response to popular demand, Aqua Resort Club Saipan is extending its yearly summer special “Cajun Sea-Feast” to September, giving its fans more time to nosh on the fresh catch cooked “Cajun style,” with a generous smattering of herbs and spices.

The Cajun Sea Fest is an ARC staple in August and is held twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday. It usually runs only in the month of August.

“Since it has grown in popularity, we decided to also have it every Thursday night in the month of September, from 6pm to 9pm,” said Victoria Sorrell, ARC marketing & public relations manager. “We hope to run it as long as our guests want it…”

She said this style of cooking is something unique to the islands right now; no other establishments highlight the Cajun cuisine.

“We usually do it outside but the weather has been unpredictable lately, so we moved it to the Costa Restaurant for everyone’s convenience and safety,” she added.

Neil Metran, ARC’s food & beverage manager, describes the Cajun Sea-Feast as a superior kind of “boodle fight.”

“Boodle fight is having the dishes spread on the table in front of you and you eat using your bare hands. That is similar to what we like our guests to experience when they are at our Cajun Sea-Feast. We set up the food, guests wear plastic gloves and dig into fresh Cajun-style seafood to their heart’s content,” he said.

“In the near future, we plan to ask the guests to set aside the plastic gloves and use their bare hands. We will be putting some wash stations at the back so they will enjoy the meal more,” he added.

Sorell said the Cajun Sea-Feast comes in different packages. “All the pricing is per couple and the amount of seafood that is served is good for two people.”

For example, the “Shrimp Combo” is composed of jumbo prawns, sliced jumbo squid, green mussels, clams, spicy Chamorro sausage, mahi-mahi, corn on the cob and potatoes—all served with a sourdough mini-loaf, all for only $70 a couple.

The “Crab Combo” is composed of a snow crab cluster, blue crab, jumbo shrimp, sliced jumbo squid, green mussels, clams, spicy Chamorro sausage, mahi-mahi, corn on the cob and potatoes—all served with a sourdough mini-oaf for only $85 a couple.

The “Deluxe Lobster Combo” is composed of lobster tail, snow crab cluster, jumbo shrimp, sliced squid, green mussels, clams, spicy Chamorro sausage, mahi-mahi, corn on the cob and potatoes—all served with a sourdough mini-loaf all for only $100 a couple.

Each combo comes with bottomless soda for two, two appetizers like nachos con salsa and vegetables sticks with ranch, and the sauces compatible with the seafood combos: Creole tomato sauce, Cajun garlic butter and avocado remoulade. Dessert is a pair of vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone and coffee. For a la carte orders, Bud family bucket of five beers is only $16, Asahi bucket of five beers is only $16, a pitcher of Sangria red or white is only $12, and a glass of fruit-flavored Chu-Hi soju is only $6.

Unwind with wine
Another Aqua Resort Club Saipan promo—the “Free Flowing Wine & Tapas” promo at its Vino Bar—aims to bring people together to sit down, relax ,and have a conversation.

“For only $30 every Friday and Saturday, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, guests can enjoy Robert Mondavi wines and three kinds of tapas,” Metran said.

He said the good combination of wine and tapas make for a great way to unwind from work, recharge, and refresh for the next day.

“A live band will be performing and guests can request their favorite songs,” he added.

Aqua Resort Club Saipan welcomes company parties, team building and special celebrations.
