Scheduled water service interruptions
There will be daily scheduled water service interruptions beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 28, to Friday, Aug. 30, from 8:30am to 3:30pm for the areas of As Matuis, San Roque, Achugao, Tanapag and portions of As Mahetog. Customers in the affected areas should expect restoration of water services soon after.

A contractor of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp., AIC Marianas, Inc., and CUC’s leak detection personnel will be conducting leak detections for damaged water lines along with repairs throughout the affected areas as part of an ongoing leak detection and repair project. This project will enhance CUC’s capability to isolate problematic areas in the future to perform repairs and maintenance and reduce inconvenience to our consumers.

Emergency water service outage
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. expects water service to resume today, Aug.t 27, at 6am, to allow the Calhoun water tanks to regain their tank levels and provide water to Upper Navy Hill, Chalan Galaide, China Town, and As Falape. Water service will be dependent on the water tank levels.

There was a water service interruption for these areas yesterday due low water tank level caused by an emergency power service interruption that occurred earlier yesterday afternoon.

NMDC membership meeting today
The Northern Marianas Descent Corp. invites all members and interested parties to the corporation’s general membership meeting today, Aug. 27, at 6pm at the Carolinian Utt Pavillion in Garapan. The agenda will include NMD Corp.’s mission and accomplishments and committee reports. Come to learn about your benefits as an NMD and what we can do to secure them. Share your ideas as well! (PR)

Military training at Farallon de Medinilla
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Air Force will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:

• Aug. 27 and 29: From 12am to 12:30am and 10:30am to 2:30pm.
• Aug. 28: From 10:30am to 2:30pm and 8:30pm to 11:59pm
• Aug. 30: From 8:30pm to 11:59pm
• Aug. 31: From 12am to 12:30am

This training supports aircrew combat readiness and is critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be within a 12-nautical-mile radius of the island.
It is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories. (PR)

Club 200 theme is Latin Nights
The 30th American Red Cross Club 200 fundraising dinner is scheduled for Oct. 12, a Saturday, at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan. This year’s theme will be “Latin Nights” and feature décor, dancing, costumes, and food from throughout Latin America. There will be salsa dancing and costume contests, piñata special prizes, and lots of door prizes. Support the Red Cross humanitarian work by purchasing tickets. Tickets are $100 each or $150 for VIP and available from ticket sellers or by calling the Red Cross office at 234-3459. (PR)
