Man pleads not guilty of domestic violence

A man who is accused of domestic violence has pleaded not guilty in Superior Court.

Peter John Aldan Blas, 29, who is charged with one count of domestic violence-disturbing the peace for an altercation that erupted between him and member of his household pleaded not guilty before Superior Court Presiding Judge Robert Naraja.

Blas, through Chief Public Defender Douglas Hartig, waived the formal reading of the charges against him and requested for a bail modification hearing.

Naraja accepted the plea and scheduled Blas to return for bail modification today. Blas’s status conference is set for Sept. 24 at 1:30pm.

According to court information, Blas is charged with domestic violence-disturbing the peace of two household members.
