United Airlines announced that effective Dec. 7, 2019, it will add a new Saipan (SPN) to Guam (GUM) evening flight that will operate on Saturday evenings at 6:20pm. The inbound flight from Guam to Saipan will leave Guam at 4:45pm and arrive in Saipan at 5:26pm. The new Saturday flights are available until March 28, 2020. Tickets are now available for purchase.

United currently operates nine times-weekly Boeing 737-700/800 jet service between Saipan and Guam and offers seats in United Business class and United Economy class. The additional flight will add more than 250 seats per week between the two islands. United offers daily morning service and two evening flights on Tuesday and Thursday to accommodate day travelers and provide more convenient connections to Hawaii, Japan and the U.S. mainland.

“United continues to look for ways to better serve its customers in the region and those who travel frequently between Saipan and Guam. We understand the importance of this lifeline between the islands,” said Sam Shinohara, United Managing director for Airport Operations for Asia/Pacific. “The addition of the Saturday evening service will offer residents and visitors more choices for travel via the comfort of a Boeing 737 jet aircraft. We will continue to monitor the market and adjust its seat capacity to meet travel demand.”
