Acting Northern Marianas College president Frankie Elliptico is urging CNMI businesses to support the college’s perks program, which seeks to give discounts and other perks to NMC students.

Speaking at the Rotary Club of Saipan during their regular Tuesday meeting at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Giovanni’s restaurant last week, Eliptico said that supporting NMC’s ProaPerks will benefit the college, since NMC will see active participation within its student population in supporting businesses, while also benefitting businesses, which will see an increased number of consumers.

Eliptico said that they have already collaborated with more than 20 local businesses. Some of those businesses are Docomo Pacific, The Shack, Latte Built Gym, and many more. As of Aug. 6, the list of affiliated businesses under the NMC’s perks program has reached 32.

According to the NMC website, NMC’s ProaPerks program is for graduates, students, employees, and partners. Members will be given a ProaPerks card, something similar to a credit card, to be used to avail of the discounts.

For more information about the ProaPerks program, contact NMC’s Alexis Cabrera through email at alexis.cabrera@marianas.edu or call (670) 237-2795.
