Solar panel, light stolen

Last Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, at about 12:4am, police officers were dispatched to the MoMo Garden Apartments in Finasisu in response to a 911 call about a theft incident.

Department of Public Safety officers arrived at the scene at about 12:50am and met with an Asian male, who stated this his solar light and solar panel had been stolen. He said he had placed the items on a chair and under a tent before he went to a friend’s house for dinner. When the individual returned home he noticed that the items were missing. He reviewed the security cameras and then called for police assistance.

He showed officers surveillance footage of a white Hyundai Elantra entering the apartment complex at about 11:50pm, and park on the east side of the blue tent. An individual who appeared to be wearing a pair of black shorts and a black T-shirt with a design that reads “Chagi Norf ” got down from the passenger side of the vehicle and quickly walked toward the tent. The male individual then grabbed the solar lights and its solar panel and quickly made his way back to the vehicle.
