Community members who want to learn more about Northern Marianas College’s fall 2019 semester and accessing financial aid can attend the college’s free info session on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, and the FAFSA workshop on Friday, Aug. 9, 2019.

The info session will run from 5:30pm to 6:30pm on Thursday, Aug. 8, at the NMC Olympio T. Borja Library and will cover the admissions process, the different degree programs offered at the college, and other college initiatives. Student service representatives from financial aid, counseling, and admissions offices will be at the info session to answer questions.

Attendees of the information session will also qualify to have their application fee and their placement test fees waived for the fall 2019 semester—a savings of up to $75.

The FAFSA workshop will consist of three separate sessions held at 9am, 10am, and 11am on Friday, Aug. 9, at the NMC computer lab in room V108. Financial aid representatives will be assisting parents and students in filling out the online FAFSA for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.

Space is limited for the workshop, so those interested in attending may reserve a spot by emailing Financial Aid director Daisy Propst at daisy.propst@marianas.edu or by calling the Financial Aid Office at (670) 237-6791, 6793, or 6794.

Parents and students who are attending the FAFSA workshop should know their social security number, and bring copies of their 2017 income tax returns and their 2017 W-2 (if not filing) to the workshop.

More information about the info session and/or applying to NMC is available by contacting the Office of Admissions & Records at (670) 237-6770, emailing oar@marianas.edu, or visiting www.marianas.edu. (PR)
