The island’s most colorful event is approaching, as Pacific Islands Club Saipan is gearing up for its renowned Hafa Adai 5K set for August 10.
Runners will be blasted with different colors at every kilometer of the course. PIC Saipan is once again inviting the community to join the race that’s filled with fun and laughter and for a good cause. Proceeds from the annual event will go to Empty Vessel Ministry for the organization’s community outreach program.
“Children and youth of CNMI have always been the big supporters and main participant group of Hafa Adai 5K. Even though the date falls in their summer vacation, we are expecting many of them to come for joy and excitement,” PIC Saipan Sports, Entertainment, and Activity Department director Dennis Tababa said.
“We also have a list of prizes ready for the post-race raffle and games. We are grateful to our partners for without their generosity the event will not be successful. We thank Bridge Capital, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, Pacific Trading Company, Pepsi, TanHoldings, Topnotch and our sister hotel Kensington Hotel Saipan, our mother company E-Land Group,” he added..
The starting and finishing point of the race will be at PIC Saipan and runners will be heading north along Beach Road. Registration is now open and interested participants can sign up at the lobby of PIC Saipan.
Entry fees are $10 and free T-shirts will be given to the first 1,000 participants.
In addition to Hafa Adai 5K, PIC Saipan is going to host its first ever “PIC Summerfest” on Aug. 9 and 10 for the resorts’ guests. Anyone who stays at the resort or holds waterpark passes during the festival will get to enjoy a variety of carnival games and fun programs.
“The whole resort is going to be like one themed park with plenty of activities to do. We have high hopes that the ‘PIC Summerfest’ will have memorable and amusing events where both local guests and tourists can be entertained,” PIC Saipan assistant general manager Dennis Seo said. (PIC)
