Yvette Bennett wins 1st runner-up in bikini competition
Yvette DLG Bennett won first runner-up honors in the Miss Bikini Model Division of the Miss Bikini Competition, beating out 31 other contestants from other states.
Bennett set herself apart from the other candidates with her swimsuit and the use of the CNMI flag in her photo shoots and on the runway.
Her swimsuit was designed with sea shells and plumeria flowers and was custom-made on Saipan by “Flowerpot Creations” designers Flowerpot Salas and Philip B. Quitugua.
Bennett’s use of the CNMI flag also made her one of three contestants to connect the design of her swimsuit to the state she represented. She also used the CNMI flag while modeling her swimsuit.
As the first runner-up, Bennett is next in line to promote the title of Miss Bikini Model, should the winner not be able to fulfill her obligations.
Bennett and her family acknowledge the support of the Marianas Visitors Authority and its managing director, Priscilla Iakopo, for placing an ad in the Miss Bikini magazine, Laila Boyer and Marianas Variety for their donations, and the 670 Rocksteady Store for their contribution of the CNMI flag.
Photos and videos of Bennett’s performance are available on her social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram (@yvettedlgbennett).
