Financial aid still available for NMC’s fall semester
Individuals interested in applying for Northern Marianas College’s fall 2019 semester can still receive financial aid to help with tuition and other academic expenses. Prospective students are encouraged to attend NMC’s upcoming information session to learn more about the federal financial aid program, which uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA.
The information session, which is open to all interested community members, will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in NMC’s Olympio T. Borja Library.
FAFSA is administered by the U.S. Department of Education. Through the program’s various types of grants, loans, and scholarships, the program is the largest financial aid provider in the U.S.
NMC faculty, staff, and students from the different degree programs at NMC, as well as Student Services representatives from financial aid, counseling, and admissions offices will be on hand at the information session to answer questions. Additional topics that will be discussed include the different degree programs offered at the college and other college initiatives.
Attendees of the information session will qualify to have their application fee and their placement test fees waived for NMC’s upcoming fall 2019 semester—a savings of about $75.
NMC offers several degree and certificate programs, including a bachelor of science degree in education (emphasis in elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or rehabilitation and human services), bachelor of science degree in business management (emphasis in accounting); associate of arts degree in business, associate of applied science degrees in business administration (emphasis in accounting, business management, or computer applications), associate of arts in liberal arts (emphasis in education, health and physical education, and social work), associate of science in nursing, natural resources management, associate of applied science in criminal justice, and hospitality management.
