The Marianas Visitors Authority will maintain regular office hours on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, despite recent cuts to government work hours.

“Tourism is the primary economic driver for the Marianas, and it is imperative to provide uninterrupted service to our customers, including our travel trade partners, visitors, government partners, and the public,” said MVA managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo.

The MVA board of directors granted management the flexibility to schedule time off for employees to reflect a 72-hour pay period, while maintaining normal office hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

“Our staff provides excellent service day in and day out all year, and they have stepped up to meet the challenge of keeping the office open with a smaller staff number on austerity Fridays, while complying with necessary budget cuts,” said Iakopo. “We have a great team at the MVA, and we are committed to helping the tourism industry recover.”

The MVA office is also regularly open to serve the public during lunch hour. For more information, contact the MVA at 1 (670) 664-3200/1 or info@mymarianas.com. (PR)
