Students sought for Korea exchange trip
The Saipan Mayor’s Office is looking for high school students who want to participate in a trip to South Korea. The trip is open to high school students from grades 9 to 12 and is sponsored by the Korean Community of Saipan.
This trip is scheduled from Sept. 1 to 5 and there will be a fee of $500, which already includes the airfare, meal, transportation, and lodging fees.
There are 20 available slots, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students are required to complete an application form provided by the Saipan Mayor’s Office.
Students must also have a U.S. passport that is valid for at least six months after the final day of travel. There will be no homestays, but students will be sharing rooms.
Activities that are planned for the trip are visits to Lotte World, historical sites in Seoul, the Aquarium of KOEX and 63 Building, KBS Broadcasting, industrial factories like KIA Car, Seoul Nandaemon Market, and the Namsan Tower.
The deadline to submit applications is on July 31, 2019.
