All set for JKPL Summer Library Program
Mark your calendars for this summer’s reading program: “A Universe of Stories!” The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library is excited to bring you a galaxy of space-related activities, programs, and reading challenges. Activities include: STEAM-related activities, exploratory space programs, arts & crafts, music, dance, Story Exploring Activities, and so much more!
The Children’s Library will be closed for the duration of the Children’s Summer Reading Program from Tuesday to Friday from July 9 to 12 and July 16 to 19 from 9:30am to 3pm. Registration for the Children’s Reading Program at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library is currently closed.

• Session A: Ages 6-8 (Tuesday – Friday, July 9-19, from 8:30am-11:30am)
• Session B: Ages 9-12 (Tuesday – Friday, July 9-19, from 12:30pm-3:00pm)
Registration for the Early Literacy, Teen, and the Adult Reading Program is still open. Interested participants (ages 13 and up) with cleared, valid library cards should register at the front desk. You’ll receive a reading log, which you’ll complete to earn awesome prizes! Sign up for program in a bag (ages 10 and up). In addition, be sure to check out our monthly calendars, which contain many fun and exciting events just for the ages 13 and up! Free PSS breakfast and lunch will be provided for all registered participants in the Children’s Summer Reading Program (ages 6-12), and is an option for teens as well (ages 13-18).
Get excited for our annual Bookmobile Summer Library Program! Our dedicated Bookmobile and Outreach Services team is geared up to provide a high-quality summer reading program covering our remote villages! Bookmobile Summer Library Program Registration runs from June 29 to July 13, 2019 or until filled. Please call 287-7316, Leoralynn Terlaje or Vicasha Camacho at 235-7322/23. The Bookmobile Collaborative Summer Library Program is free and open to children ages 6-12 years, teens ages 13-18 years, and adults. Must have a valid Joeten-Kiyu Public Library card with no pending obligations. The Bookmobile Outreach Collaborative Summer Library Program is modeled after the Children’s Summer Reading Program and geared for families and patrons who were unable to attend the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s onsite Summer Program. Free PSS lunch will be provided to each of the registered participants at their respective locations (ages 18 and under).

This summer the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library is bringing technology into the hands of our children! Register for our free 2019 Children’s Summer Internet Camp. Registration is open until July 12, 2019. Children will be engaged in our exciting internet camp learning about computer literacy, internet safety, typing, AV2 Books, and so much more! Seats are limited per session. First registered. First served. Required documents include a valid JKPL library card clear of obligations. Free PSS lunch will be provided to each of the registered participants. Session B, Ages 9-12, of JKPL Internet Camp is currently full.
