What stood out for you in this parade?
“I really enjoyed the float that highlighted Asian Chinese culture with the dragons, the tribute to the veterans, and the B-52’s flyover. I hope to see some fireworks later, though, because that to me is the epitome of 4th of July celebration.”
—Chris Bowman, San Vicente
“Everything! The celebration is really good. I come here very year and I think this parade has been the best one because it is meaningful. After [Super] Typhoon Yutu, even now we are still going through a lot but here we are watching a well-organized and beautiful parade and things like this keeps us going.”
—Laurie Teregeyo, Garapan
“I really like the different floats. They are all beautiful and have unique touches. My favorite float is the Sesame Street float because the decorations are so nice,”
—Nazalie of Kagman 3
“I love the fact that everyone has come out of their homes again to celebrate July 4th, especially it being the 75th anniversary. The flyby of the planes was really awesome as it is always my favorite part of the Liberation Day Parade celebration,”
—Marie Solis-Igitol of Matua Riders
“I like the float that was playing music (United Filipino Organization). I also like the kids wearing costumes, especially the ones wearing Army suits.”
—Bentley Castro, Koberville
“My favorite part of the Liberation Day parade is being with family and friends. We come here every year and we always have a good time.”
—Robert Mettao, Chalan Kiya
“It was my first time seeing the whole thing as my wife and I are from Maui and we just moved here to Saipan. The parade was beautiful and people clearly show that they are having fun that it is contagious. This is also a good time to be with our family enjoying this special event.”
—Anhtuan Nguyen, Gualo Rai
“The people are amazing here! We love them and we are so happy and lucky to be here on the 4th of July!”
—Sarah Wengefeld, Connecticut
