DPS responds to 57 calls over the weekend

The CNMI Department of Public Safety responded to 57 active calls on Saipan this past weekend and made 13 arrests.

From 11pm on Friday, June 21, through 7pm on Sunday, June 23, police officers responded to 911 calls and were dispatched to 57 different cases, which include an assault and battery case, an auto-related incident, a burglary, a child abuse case, a child neglect case, a civil matter, a criminal mischief case, a delinquent child case, a disturbing the peace incident, a domestic violence incident, a driving under the influence case, a grass fire report, an illegal possession case, an incident related to property damage, an injured person report, a theft case, and a theft of service case.

DPS officers arrested 13 individuals for crimes including assault, assault and battery, burglary, driving under the influence, domestic violence, disturbing the peace, and criminal mischief.
DPS encourages the public to call 911 anytime to report a crime or an emergency. (PR)
