LibDay Parade float application deadline is extended to June 25
The 2019 CNMI Liberation Day Committee announced yesterday that the deadline to submit applications for the Liberation Day Parade is extended to Tuesday, June 25, at 4:30pm to the Saipan Mayor’s Office.
“We continue to encourage interested government agencies, businesses, community organizations, and individuals to be a part of the 2019 CNMI Liberation Day Parade and Festivities through our always exciting Float Competition,” said committee chair Joe Ayuyu Jr.
Prizes for the 2019 Liberation Day Float Competition is currently set at $3,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place, $1,000 for third place, and $500 for fourth place.
“The deadline is extended to accommodate more participants from around our community. The parade is always a great opportunity for us to come together as a community and remind ourselves why the Marianas is such a special place,” said Liberation Day vice chair Shayne Villanueva.
Applications for both the parade and concessions are available at the Saipan Mayor’s Office on the ground floor of the CTC Building in Oleai and online at saipanmayor.net.
“It’s not too late to join the parade, and we encourage all interested groups to come in and submit an application at our office. We invite everyone to join us from June 27 to July 6 at the Garapan Fishing Base for our Liberation Day festivities as we celebrate resiliency and freedom,” said Mayor David M. Apatang.
