Global Travel Media cites ‘7-color’ ocean of NMI

China’s Global Travel Media, a production company specializing in weekly television travel shows with an audience of 3 million viewers, cited the “seven-color ocean” of the Northern Mariana Islands while filming in this beach resort destination on March 4-8, 2014.
GTM visited the islands of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota and will produce at least 20, 5-10 minute videos for release via The Travel Channel and popular websites Youku.com, Toudou.com, and Sina.com.
“The media crew was amazed by our ‘seven-color ocean’ while on the ferry to Managaha,” said Marianas Visitors Authority marketing manager Bruce Bateman. “They love the beautiful views and peacefulness of the islands and said they hope to come back for a vacation with their families.”
Activities included a tour and barbecue lunch at Managaha, a submarine tour, snorkeling with turtles, a Seawalker tour, and a tour of scenic and historic sites on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
Hotels inspected included Coral Ocean Point Resort, Laolao Bay Golf Resort, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Marianas Resort & Spa, Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino, Rota Resort, and Mango Resort. Other businesses visited were QQ Car Rental, 360 Revolving Restaurant, Moby Dick, Country House, DFS Galleria, Kinpachi Restaurant, Hard Rock Café, Kingfisher Golf Links, Tony Roma’s, Capricciosa, and I Love Saipan.
Lodging was provided by Hyatt Regency Saipan and Mango Resort. (MVA)
