The finals tickets in the 2019 Dove Spring Women’s 11 vs 11 League will be contested this Sunday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

Shirley’s Football Club and Paire FC are the first ones to vie for a spot to the championship game (June 16), as they collide in the semifinal match at 4pm. In the other Final Four duel at 6pm, it will be Kanoa FC versus Matansa FC.

Kanoa swept the single round-robin preliminary, getting win No. 3 last Sunday after prevailing against Paire. Sue Anne Huevos scored three goals for Kanoa in the first half and the game ended right there, as Paire did not have enough players to continue the match. Kanoa was handed the win via forfeiture.

Shirley’s also had an easy victory in its last preliminary game after shutting down Matansa, 5-0.

Katherine Magat powered Shirley’s to the rout after delivering four goals, which came in succession. She started her streak in the 53rd minute, while her last three were recorded in the 58th, 59th, and 68th. Jeralyn Castillo scored the other goal for Shirley’s

With the win, Shirley’s was ranked second behind Kanoa in the team standings. Shirley’s held a 2-0-1 win-draw-loss record and scored the second most goals (10) in three games, while giving up only three. Kanoa tallied nine goals and also allowed only three.

Paire had a 1-0-2 mark and registered the most goals (14) after three games. Matansa was winless and made only three goals while yielding 22.

Meanwhile, Irish Pagarao’s five goals topped the preliminary round. The Kanoa player had four in their 5-3 debut win over Matansa and one in 2-0 triumph over Shirley’s.

Paire’s Guive Borja and Magat collected four each, while the former’s teammates, Summer Manahane and Jerlyn Castillo, recorded three each—the same number Matansa’s Jannah Casarino and Shirley’s Katrina Costales had. Paire’s Erin Frink and Jeralyn Castillo made two apiece, while Britanny Wally and Anisa Villagomez, also from Paire, logged one each.
