Case of dead man found on Beach Road remains open
The Department of Public Safety has no recent updates on the dead man whose body was found along Beach Road last week and the case remains open.
According to DPS spokesman Adrian Pangelinan, the case of Dong Pabalinas, 62, remains open because police are still looking into all aspects of the case.
The two individuals who were reportedly seen at the scene have yet to contact police, Pangelinan added.
The two men are being encouraged to contact the Criminal Investigative Bureau at 664-9042 for additional information they may have about what happened to Pabalinas.
One of the men is described as approximately 5’6” tall and medium built, with brown complexion, and was seen wearing a T-shirt, a pair of short pants, and a pair of flip-flops with no known colors.
The other is described to be similar in height, was light complexioned, skinny in build, and could be Asian.
No foul play has been reported in the case, according to police.
The case is still not considered a homicide but the police are following protocols and are treating it as a homicide to ensure that all aspects of the case are investigated. There is no official cause of death yet.
According to Saipan Tribune archives, police came upon the body of Pabalinas at about 10:53pm on May 28 along Beach Road. He was lying on the ground and was not responding to the officers’ questions.
Police later found out that Pabalinas had no pulse and he was immediately brought to the Commonwealth Health Center, where he was pronounced dead.
For anyone interested in helping Pabalinas’ family out, donation boxes will be stationed at the R-Lyn’s Dress Shop in Garapan and at the Liberty Plaza, also in Garapan.
