Filipino singer to topbill Guam and Saipan concerts for a cause
Jun Polistico, an icon of Philippine music dubbed the “Frank Sinatra of the Philippines,” will be the the main performer in a charity concert organized by the US Pinoys for Good Governance.
The Guam concert will be held on June 14, 2019 (Friday, 7pm to 10pm) at Micronesian Ballroom, Hilton Guam Resort in Tumon, Guam. The concert is being staged in collaboration with The Mayors’ Council of Guam.
The Saipan leg of the concert will be on June 23, 2019 (Sunday, 7pm to 10 pm) at Hibiscus Hall, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, in collaboration with the Asian Community of the CNMI and with Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan as a major sponsor.
Polistico is a Philippine-born singer who currently performs at PAGCOR Hotel and Casino, in corporate functions, and charity events in the Philippines.
Proceeds of the Guam event will benefit the Senior Citizens’ Centers of 19 villages in Guam, repairs of the San Jose Parish Church which was severely damaged during Super Typhoon Yutu in October 2018, and for medical missions in the Philippines.
For the Saipan event, proceeds will benefit Yutu victims on Saipan and Tinian, repairs of the San Antonio Parish Church on Saipan and for medical missions in the Philippines.
The US Pinoys for Good Governance is a non-profit organization and has several chapters in the U.S. and its territories in the CNMI, Guam, and American Samoa.
The USPGG Marianas (CNMI) chapter has been conducting free health screening on a quarterly to biannually basis as well as disease prevention fora in the CNMI for the past nine years.
Ticket prices for the Saipan concert are priced at $75 for VIP, and $50 for general admission.
