This past weekend the CNMI Department of Public Safety responded to 60 active calls on Saipan and made eight arrests.

From 11pm on Friday, May 3, through 11pm on Sunday, May 5—a 48-hour period—CNMI DPS responded to 911 calls and were dispatched to 60 different calls, which included an auto-related incident, civil matter, criminal mischief, distressed vessel, disturbing the peace, domestic violence, driving under the influence, illegal possession, indecent exposure, injured person, robbery, stolen vehicle, suspicious vehicle, and theft.

DPS would like to encourage the public to do the right thing and report suspicious activity by calling 911; operators are standing by. (PR)
