McDonald’s acknowledges local educators

McDonald’s CNMI and Guam has, for the first time, joined the celebration of Teachers Appreciation Week by offering a free cup of coffee to all educators to start their day.

The local franchisee of the fast-food restaurant wants to let local educators know that their hard work does not go unnoticed and would like to give back to them through coffee.

According to Mable Glenn, McDonald’s CNMI executive assistant to the president, they will offer free coffee to all educators for a week—the first time the company will be doing this. “We just want to thank our educators…for what they do for our students. Why not through a cup of coffee to help start their day?”

Glenn said that all who work in the line of educating—teachers, principals, counselors, etc.—are eligible for a free cup of coffee.

The only requirement is a valid school ID to prove you are an educator and you can visit any McDonald’s branch drive-thru or in stores.

The promotion isn’t available through the McDonald’s app.

The cup of coffee is free, no other purchases required, and is available from 5:30am to 10am from May 6 to May 10.

National Teachers Week is celebrated in the entire United States.
