5 small businesses awarded $75M construction contract

Naval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas awarded a $75-million multiple award construction contract last April 9 to five small businesses for construction, renovation, modernization work and routine repair and maintenance work.

The small companies that were selected are Chugach Consolidated Solutions LLC of Alaska; Clayarch Inc. in Guam; GSI North America Inc. of New Jersey; InfraTech International LLC in Guam; and S.K. Construction Inc. in Guam.

“This MACC award represents the Navy’s intent to leverage the expertise and talents of our small business community to meet mission requirements on Guam,” said NAVFAC Marianas commanding officer Capt. Daniel Turner. “I commend our acquisition professionals and the team of small business firms for this great achievement.”

Chugach Consolidated Solutions LLC was awarded $992,000 to replace air conditioning systems in 59 units as part of Phase II of Apra View housing on Naval Base Guam. All other firms were each awarded a task order for the minimum guarantee of $10,000. (USN)
