Road closure in Chalan Kiya on Saturday
There will be construction and road closures on the eastbound lane of Chalan Kiya Drive near the Chalan Kiya Mobil gas station and Seventh Day Adventist School this Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 8am to 5pm.
This will allow Commonwealth Utilities Corp. wastewater operations personnel to uncover and raise manholes buried under asphalt.
During the paving of Chalan Kiya Drive, several manholes were buried under asphalt causing CUC little access to them. As a result of this project, CUC personnel will have a better and easier access to these wastewater assets. It is imperative that CUC have access to these manholes to effectively and efficiently operate, maintain, repair and monitor the system.
Due to the closure of the eastbound lane and for the safety of the community- pedestrians, motorists and large vehicles are advised to proceed with caution and take alternative routes when traveling through the area.
