The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library held a Ladies’ Night in honor of Women’s Month last Friday.
More than 130 community members stopped by to take advantage of the evening’s activities: Zumba class, art demonstrations, smoothie bar, makeover station, face painting, and a raffle drawing. Ladies and their families learned how to create fun local crafts (mwar making, bead making, recycled paper basket making, flower making), tried two green smoothies, and most importantly, relaxed and had a good time.
The JKPL Ladies’ Night would not be possible without the generous support of numerous community partners. The library would like to thank the Office of the Governor Women’s Affairs Office, CNMI Women’s Association, the First Lady Diann Torres Foundation, DCCA Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture, Friends of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library, Northern Humanities Council’s Motheread/Fatheread Program, 2018 Miss Marianas Celine Cabrera, DFS T Galleria Saipan, Natural Nail Spa, Healing Stone, and Bobby S.
