Over 6 organizations participate in health fair
Over six organizations are participating in the upcoming annual Lion’s Club International health fair this Sunday.
Service providers Hardy Eye Clinic & Diabetes Education Center, the Northern Marianas College Nursing Club, the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. Immunization program, the Non-Communicable Disease Bureau, Commonwealth Cancer Association, and the Division of Public Health Services dental clinic are among several entities that will be participating in the annual Lion’s Club International District 204, Region 2 health fair at Mt. Carmel Cathedral’s Joeten Daidai Social Hall. The fair would be held from 8am to 12pm.
Services that the health fair provides include blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, vision checks, diabetes awareness, cancer awareness, oral cancer screenings, cardiopulmonary resuscitation demonstrations, reading glasses distributions, and general health awareness.
Beauty parlor services from Jigz Barbershop, Trends Beauty Salon, Genoveva’s Hair Power, Magic Touch, and Be.You.tiful Salon are also offered during the one-day fair.
The organization further noted that the health fair seeks to promote “general health awareness that will improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle” according to an announcement from the organization.
