Saipan Vegas Resort celebrated its 2nd year anniversary on Saipan last March 17 with a promise to offer more fun and leisure in the years to come.

Located in Chalan Lau Lau on Middle Road, Saipan Vegas Resort offers a triple threat—a gaming experience, affordable accommodations, and a round of golf in a nine-hole course—all in one place.

The resort is currently finishing plans to expand accommodations to attract more travelers and entice more tourists to come to Saipan.

“Currently, we have 50 budget hotel rooms and we are building additional five prefabricated rooms. …The rooms give guests the look and feel of comfort that includes basic amenities like cable TV, aircon, and fiber optic WiFi,” said Saipan Vegas and Club 88 consolidated manager Gus Noble.

It is also expanding its gaming room and will also open a new restaurant in the front section of Saipan Vegas.

The concept, Noble said, is to offer budget accommodations, which is popular around the world. He said what they offer is quite unique: affordable, comfortable, and fun all in one place.

“We are built for the budget traveler, which we think is a real niche needed in the market. …We need our luxury hotels but we also need a full range of hotels to get all the travelers on island—both luxury and budget travelers.”

“Everyone is welcome to Saipan Vegas Resort. We also invite visiting locals from Rota and Tinian that will be on island for a brief stay,” he added.

According to Saipan Vegas marketing supervisor Racquel Floyd, their venue is known for having the biggest floorwide jackpot on Saipan.

“We make sure that we always have new promotions for our players every month so it is always exciting here at Saipan Vegas,” she said.

“We have already given away over $500,000 worth of jackpot prizes from January to March of this year,” she added.

Noble said that they are heavily invested in the CNMI as they are doing everything to help the CNMI economy prosper. “We have a good business that is sustainable as we have a 100-percent local workforce policy [and] 50 supporting staff who are all locals. …We are very happy about our growth as we are able to sustain a business that is contributing to the CNMI economy for two years now.”

Like most businesses on island, the experience of Super Typhoon Yutu last year was one of the biggest challenges business owners had to overcome but Saipan Vegas was able to recover immediately.

“Saipan Vegas opened the water well to the public who were in dire need of non-drinking water,” Noble said. “With our generator and own water supply, we actually never shut down during or after the typhoon.”
