Updates on immigration laws, regs
The February general membership meeting of the Society for Human Resource Management-NMI Chapter will address updates on federal immigration laws and regulations.
Nelson Xu, a lawyer, will discuss updates and changes to immigration laws and regulations that affect CNMI businesses and employers, and what businesses and employers might want to do in order to better prepare for these changes.
Xu will also discuss other employment-based visas and options that employers may consider besides the H2-B, CW, and EAD (humanitarian parole).
Xu is a partner in the law firm of Baumann, Kondas & Xu, LLC.
He became a partner in 2010 after working as an associate with L.A. Baumann & Associates for five years. Xu specializes in business visas and family immigration.
