The Northern Islands was shaken by another earthquake of 4.5 magnitude last Sunday—the fourth earthquake reported in the Northern Islands in the last two weeks.

According to the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning point, at 2:24pm Sunday, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred 162 kilometers west northwest of Farallon de Pajaros.

There were no reports of personnel injuries or damage to infrastructure and no tsunami warnings or advisories were issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

According to a previous article on the Saipan Tribune, the Marianas, being a part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, is prone to experience tremors because of the amount of activity in the area.
