Early bird registration deadline for Saipan Marathon on March 7
This Friday, March 7, is the early bird registration deadline for the 9th Saipan Marathon slated for April 19, 2014.
Early registration for the 50K and marathon is $55.00 for US and NMI participants, and $45 for half-marathon and 10K participants. Early registration must be made by March 7, 2014. An additional late fee of $10.00 will apply to registrations submitted after March 7. The last day to register for the event will be on March 14, 2013, at 5pm. Registration will include the awards banquet, a finishers T-shirt, and a certificate of completion.
In 2013, over 600 runners joined the event, which includes a marathon, half-marathon, 10K, and 50K courses. The Marianas Visitors Authority has been actively promoting the event in Japan and other countries for several months, and several tour companies have produced special tour packages for the race.
The start will take place at Micro Beach at American Memorial Park at 4:30am for the 50K and the Marathon, at 5:45am for the half-marathon, and at 6am for the 10K.
This year the marathon will implement a cut-off time for both the full marathon and 50K. The cut-off time will be 9am at the halfway point.
All competitors are required to pick up their race packets the AMP Amphitheatre on April 18, 2014, from 4-6pm without exception.
