Las Vegas Night still on

Super Typhoon Yutu has forced the Rotary Club of Saipan to reschedule the 2018 edition of its Las Vegas Night to the first quarter of 2019.

Club president Greg Borja confirmed Tuesday that the 2018 Las Vegas night, the club’s largest annual fundraising event, has been already scheduled for March 23, 2019.

“We are going to do a St. Patrick’s Day theme,” Borja said.

The club is still looking to secure a venue for the event. “Our regular venue is still undergoing renovation,” he added.

Las Vegas Night has been traditionally held at the Saipan World Resort’s Royal Tagal Ballroom in Susupe.

“…We are trying to look for other areas and we would [release the information] as soon as possible once we figure out where our venue is going to be,” he said.

Borja noted that the club has stopped selling tickets for the event since they did not want to print tickets out without information on the venue.

“The prizes will remain the same,” he noted.

The raffle prizes for the Las Vegas Night almost always includes $10,000 or a car for the grand prize, $5,000 for second, and $3,000 for third, along with door prizes and several other minor prizes.
