University of Guam students Hunter Orland and Madison Orland were recently the recipients of Dr. Rebecca A. Stephenson Scholarships, both valued at $1,000, for the 2018-2019 academic year.

The recipients are fraternal twin sisters and are both freshmen fine arts majors in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.

The scholarship was created in 2008 by UOG professor emerita Rebecca A. Stephenson, a former anthropology professor, after her retirement. Recipients for the award must be undergraduates in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and are selected based on their essay submission, letters of reference, and academic standing.

Students interested in applying for this or other UOG scholarships should stay tuned to the UOG Financial Aid webpage for opportunities. (UOG)
