New Year’s Resolutions: Forgotten Solutions

Share

Every year in January do you make New Year’s resolutions
say you’ll quit smoking, no white sugar, or lose lots of weight
then by Valentine’s Day you have forgotten your solutions
and can’t remember which day was that stop smoking date.

You are not alone in all those sincere resolutions gone bad
most people have forgotten their own many times before
then six months later take a look in a mirror and they feel sad
as they smoke their cigarettes or vape outside the back door.

How about saving some paycheck money or being more kind
how and when and where do you save it and what is it for
is it a new car or a vacation trip in the back of your mind
going fishing around another island swimming near its shore.

Generally speaking no matter what you seem to resolve
In time most of those New Year’s resolutions will dissolve.
